3678 East 4350 North, Liberty Utah
We love spending time in our home and thrive on the seclusion of the expanded playground that is our "back yard." However, Ogden Valley offers wonderful recreation that is right out the front door and includes a multitude of hikes, a bicycling mecca, kayaking on Pineview or in the seclusion of Causey Reservoir. There are two parks with playgrounds within walking distance, and fishing is year around (if you bring your ice drill). We have wonderful neighbors and store clerks who will actually call you by name.
The home was built in 1987 and we moved into it in 2000. The following are improvements or replacements we have recently made to the home: new roof, new windows throughout, finished basement, new sprinklers on the entire acre, new drain field, new stainless kitchen appliances, new granite counter tops, new hardwood flooring, carpet replaced throughout, new tile and bathroom fixtures, 2 fireplaces resurfaced with stone, new trex deck, new water heater, soft water conditioner, upstairs air conditioning, new lower floor furnace, new hot tub, updated central vacuum system.

The basement has rock on the lower portion of the walls, a large storage closet, a built-in for large screen TV, with cupboards underneath, and two unfinished storage rooms.

This is one of the four bedrooms. It has adjacent facing windows that look onto the back yard.

The second bedroom.

The view upstairs, where all four bedrooms are located.
The bathroom upstairs has a separate toilet and tub area, from the double sinks.

The master bedroom has a wood burning fireplace. It is very spacious.

The master bath has double sinks, travertine in the shower and tub surround. The jacuzzi tub has two steps up and an open view of Wolf Mountain, while maintaining privacy from the outside.

The kitchen nook area has new hardwood flooring and is used as a visiting area.

The dish cupboard was converted from a broom closet!

The family room fireplace is gas. The two windows face west with views of Ben Lomond and have large wooden shutters.

The family room has one of three built-ins.

The dining room windows face north and look onto the new trex deck and views of the backyard and open fields.
The living room has a built-in bookcase.

Front entry view.

The half bath on the main floor has tile going to the ceiling on one wall and a wains coat of tile on the other three walls, with wallpaper.

A large vegetable garden yields ample harvests. Perennial strawberries grow down the middle of the vegetables and produce from mid-spring until late fall.

A 24 X 24 foot barn includes workbench and tool closets and comes in handy for storage. The barn faces the perennial garden boxes.

The bunkhouse can be seen across from the fire pit and adjacent to the guest cottage. The fire pit is frequently used to cap off the days activities. Once the sun drops behind Ben Lomond, the temperature falls to sweater weather even in the midst of summer highs.

The perennial garden has flowers blooming during each season. Favorites are the roses, peonies, poppies, lupine, aster...just to name a few.

A lean-to greenhouse is built on the south of the cottage for getting seeds started early and for storing garden tools and supplies.

The volleyball court sits next to the vegetable and herb gardens and has apple trees to the east, with a large grassy play area..

This "secret garden" delights the children and is magically hidden.

Frequent guests that we have "hosted" include moose, deer, raccoon, fox, coyote, sand cranes, wild turkeys, soaring hawks, and an occasional rabbit.

Hay or wheat is grown in the fields behind and to the west of the property and can be a playground for snowmobiles in the winter.

The herb garden produces abundantly.
The large grassy area is large enough to play kickball or other games and also includes high yielding apple trees.
The cottage is a great resource for convincing friends or family to spend the night and can also doubles as a game room or just a nice place to relax and read.

The cottage has a full bathroom, with a shower. There is baseboard heating that capably heats the cottage in the winter and a small wall air conditioner that cools for those few days in the summer when the temperature climbs over 90 degrees.

The bunkhouse has 4 twin beds and an area for keeping all the toy guns, cowboy boots and hats!

The playhouse is adored by boys and girls alike.

Fort Liberty has a slide, cat walks to keep a look out for the enemy, and a swing with straps for babies.

The beauty of winter.
